Dear Sepians, This is the last of my postcards as this is the end of postcard month here on Sepia Saturday. This week our theme image shows a group of soldiers from the early twentieth century. Soldiers, sailors, airmen or any military group would fit in with the theme, or any picture postcard would. Whatever you choose just post your posts on or around Saturday 31st August 2024 and add a link to the list below. And, don't forget, our September theme is Highs and Lows - here are the first two theme images so you can start planning your submissions. Best regards, Alan

A sad soldier's tale
All about roads that maybe my ancestors traveled...but there is one photo of a family posing together, as the prompt photo also is posed.
Some of my favorite childhood (and adult) memories of big trees remembered in postcards.
At last! I match the prompt: a group of soldiers illustrating Uncle Fred's latest letter, which discusses a visit by Eleanor Roosevelt to the troops.
This was actually a hard theme for me to match as it was difficult to choose which military postcards to use from my large collection. I found three that make a decent match and are similar to each other in a way. Musical of course.
