Sepia Saturday 526 : 27 June 2020

I can't deny it, I would like nothing better than to sit down in the garden with a cup of tea, especially if I were sharing the table with these three ladies. But, alas, no: it is almost midnight, it's dark outside, and these three ladies are merely the faded image of days long gone. With old photographs, however, we can be anywhere, whenever we want to be. Air travel may not be available to us in these difficult times, but don't worry: there is plenty of room on the Sepia Space Shuttle.  You can go anywhere and glamorous sepia cabin crew will serve you with cups of tea throughout the journey. To join the flight, all you need is an old photograph posted on or around Saturday 27th June 2020. Once you have your image and your post, simply add your boarding pass details to the list below.

For in-flight entertainment, take a look at what future flights of fancy are available.

Sepia Saturday 525 : 20 June 2020

We've all been there. We are posing for a portrait, trying to look our best: serious, mature, studious ... and a dog comes up and sits on your head. It's a silly photo, a dog-day photo, a great woofing, licking, slobbering photo. It is what photos are all about. It is here to prompt you to get out your old photos for Sepia Saturday 525. They can be linked to the theme or not, it's up to you. Just post your posts on or around Saturday 20th June 2020 and add a link to the list below,

Here is what is coming up next week. I will put the prompt for the following week up as soon as I get this blasted dog off my head!

Sepia Saturday 524 : 13 June 2020

I have a feeling that in the old world - the pre-Covid world - it would have been round about Wimbledon tennis time now. But this isn't the real world, this is the Sepia world and therefore we can still have tennis if we want it. Or we can have sports, or women in long dresses or pavilions or whatever you would like. The Sepia world is rather like that, you can make the rules up as you go along. In fact, we don't have rules, simply guidance: and the guidance is to get your Sepia Saturday posts up on or around Saturday 13 June 2020 and add a link to the list below. If there were rules, they would say that I must now show you the next two Sepia prompts, but as there aren't rules I will just show you one. I'll put the other up when I find it!

And here it is:-

Sepia Saturday 523 : 6 June 2020

A wise man once said, "An image is a window to the soul" Well, OK, this is a bit of false news as it wasn't a wise man, it was me, and I only said it to myself a couple of minutes ago when I was trying to work out how to start this Sepia Saturday call. So we are looking into windows this week on Sepia Saturday: either at them or through them. Get out your old photos, copy them, write about them, blog them - whether you use a Mac or Windows. Once you have posted your post, add a link to the list below.

Whilst you are gazing out of the window, thinking what to do this week, you might want to consider what the next couple of theme image will be. Here they are.
