In the era of smart phones and digital cameras that can be disguised as tie clips, street photography is a popular genre these days. Even back in the days when cameras were about as big as suitcases, photographers loved nothing better than capturing on film what was happening at street level. Our Sepia Saturday theme for November is street photography and we start the month with a walk along a busy street back in the 1930s. The marvellous thing about photographs like my prompt image this week is that they are packed with background information: the identity of the main characters are unimportant, but look at the clothing, marvel at the cars and note the shopfronts. You can take your own walk along a busy street - or any interpretation of that theme you care to choose - by posting a post on or around Saturday 7th November 2026 and adding a link to the list below.. And then you can see what else is on the street ahead!
