Sepia Saturday 841 : Saturday 29th August 2026

As I prepared to put this week's Sepia Saturday Call Image up I suddenly had the realisation that I had used it before! This particular old photograph of a car driving along a mountainous road was also used for Sepia Saturday 780! My apologies to everyone by this mistake and my permission to interpret this week's theme as either forgetfulness or silly old men who have lost it, or please submit a Sepia Saturday post you have posted before if you wish. Whatever you post, post it on or around Saturday 29th August 2026 and add a link to the list below. I'm off to find some new theme images so mistakes like this do not happen again.

Sepia Saturday 840 : 22 August 2026

A brother and sister perhaps? Who they are we do not know (and perhaps I should know because they come from my family photo archives). Their identity doesn't matter. They were together in their youth and hopefully they were together through life. Perhaps there is a photograph somewhere of them as two elderly people - the brother still with a protective arm around the sister. Endless questions - that is the beauty of old photographs. You can share your endless questions on Sepia Saturday. Just post your post on or around Saturday 22 August 2026 and add a link to the list below. And then see what more questions are around the corner.

Sepia Saturday 839 : 15 August 2026

Sometimes, everything seems to come right. You get the perfect score and win the game. You find the perfect old photograph which illustrates the point you are trying to make. Whether it's a top score or a dodgy dart, we invite you to step up with your weekly choice for Sepia Saturday. Whatever it may be, post it on or around Saturday 15th August 2026 and add a link to the list below.  And whilst the other players are taking their shots, have a look at what is to come on Sepia Saturday.

Sepia Saturday 838 : Saturday 8th August 2026

Old photographs are a treasure map, but nobody tells you what the treasure actually is. You've got to search for it - and when you find it you will know. The treasure in this week's Sepia Saturday Call image might be the wooden ark or the remarkably unrealistic wooden animals. It might be the headscarf or it might be the look on the face of that man on the left hand side of the photograph. Further more, what is treasure to one person might not be worth a passing glance to someone else. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to old photographs. Here, on Sepia Saturday, we ask you to share your own treasure maps on or around Saturday the 8th August 2026 and leave a link on the list below. And pause for a while to see what other treasure maps will be appearing in the next few weeks.
