Sepia Saturday 606 : 29 January 2022

If I did manage to get away to the Dolomites last week - I am writing this a pre-posting it, just in case - I should be getting back to my desk at some stage this coming weekend. So, once again, our Sepia Saturday Header is rather appropriate, and once again, it comes from our "Photo Archive Of The Month" - Camden Public Library in the USA. You can share your old photographs from your desktop to our desktops by posting an old photograph and adding a link to the list below.

When I saw the prompt for this week, I decided to post the photo that popped into my mind. It's been a long time.

Soooo happy to see the prompt photo posted so early! Gave me plenty of time to put my response together and get it posted. Thank you so much! :) Now then, "Once Upon A Time" . . .

Good to get the prompt early and, like Kristin, I knew immediately which photogrpah would be my main feature, with Memories of my father at his little bureau, a wedding present from my mother in 1938.

Belated Happy New Year everyone. Glad to be back after a monthlong break with a circa 1911 group photo “Meet the Curcio Family” featuring my maternal Italian ancestors and collateral relatives.

Man sitting at a desk... Good prompt photo for "correspondence" :) In the spring of 1916, Gerda is writing to her brother from Nice on the French Riviera, and also mentioning correspondence with a Swedish American soldier.

Thanks for early in the week meme, so I could get on theme this week! A bit of my crazy young professional life.

I've chosen the location of our theme photo in order to write a story about a band from Maine's capital city. Musical of course.

I was initially going to show pictures from old calendars, but the blog took a strange turn into something else!

I'm really late! I, too, appreciated the earlier theme photo and I thought of a photo, but then couldn't find it! Silly me. I had scanned it onto the computer, so all that looking was for nothing.

I've been saving this sepia photo since the first time I saw it on FB. Sorry that Sepia Saturday doesn't have a new link field...maybe someone will see it this way!

Well, here we are again - improvising, but that's okay. Most of us know the drill. :) I took it upon myself to check out Camden Public Library Flickr commons and came up with some nifty prompts and matches.

Well, in the absence of our publican I suppose I will choose mustaches as a random theme. Musical of course.

In the absence of a prompt this week, I have turned to my new Photo Ramblings blog. No vintage images here, but memories of holidays and the Cows we have seen - yes Cows for a fun post to brighten up this dismal February weather. Enjoy!

I see others have made double use of this prompt, so I'm following your example. "Man at desk writing" works just as well for me this week;) - Two more postcards from Gerda to her brother (1916).

Joining you all for a Feb. 6 post on this prompt with a photo of my maternal Italian great-grandparents, married 40 years in 1941.

I waited until the last minute and had no ideas, except that I have been thinking about the photo of my grandmother's graduating class that I posted a few weeks ago.
