Surely that group of young ladies are celebrating something... A birthday, perhaps? Or a name-day? Or somebody receiving a medal for obscure reasons? Anyway - those are all also good reasons for a postcard - whether today, or back in 1915!

I guessed that Miss Garland was a teacher and went from there.
