Sepia Saturday 733 : 20 July 2024

We may not quite be on the water this week on Sepia Saturday, but we are the next best thing - on the sands. The seashore has been a magnet for children down the generations, with bucket and spade in hand, every child must feel a thrill when the seaside is in sight. This week we are celebrating this endless love affair here on Sepia Saturday and so we invite you to share your old photographs on or around Saturday 20th July 2024 and leave a link on the list below.  And as July turns into August, here is what is to come on Sepia Saturday.

By the water. How old are these places? Maybe we'll find out?

Our local Lake Tomahawk was featured in an old post card, which includes a bit of it's history by the Swannanoa History Museum.

A beach photo from my great-aunt Gerda's photo album, probably from the Swedish west coast in the mid/late 1940s.

I've run out of beach photos, musical or otherwise, so I chose little girls for a theme. Or at least one little girl.
