Our theme image this week shows a dispatch rider repairing a motor cycle in France during the Great War. The August 1915 photograph is part of the collection of the British Museum which is available on Flickr Commons. There are the usual generous collection of potential themes available within this image - you don't need to get down on your back with your spanners out to find them. Whatever theme you discover, just match it with an old image from your own collection and post it on or around Saturday 19th August and add a link to the list below.
Carriages and cycles seem to be cropping up a lot at the moment - here are the next two theme images.

So I'm having to post just a wee bit early as we're off to Alaska tomorrow - doing the land tour/inland passage cruise thing. Am getting rather excited about it. Anyway, we had no motorcycles in our family so I had to rely on automobile mishaps and we've had our share of those as you will see! (sigh)
We all know what it is like - sorting through the familiar collection and thinking "have I used this one before?" and then you come across a grain of gold that has fallen through the sifting pan on previous occasions
An unknown little boy feeling the power of the bike.
Nothing like zooming along on the pavement, fresh air and hopefully sunshine all around you!
This was one of those prompts that I thought I would give a miss, as I had nothing relevant. Then light suddenly dawned and here I am!
One of my uncle Henry's photographs of two girls on a bike and some of my biking memories. Wait, that isn't another bicycle prompt in a couple of weeks?!!
