My archive image for Sepia Saturday 125 shows the Royal Kitchen at Windsor Castle in 1878. The photograph forms part of the recently released Queen Victoria Online Scrapbook, and I note that it is listed as being copyright of HM the Queen. I suspect that she is a little too busy to be bothered with my request to reproduce the image - so I will assume she has no objections. For the themers out there, you can go where you want with this one : kitchens, food, your royal aunt Mary-Anne ... whatever. Or you can ignore the table d'hôte menu and choose whatever you want from the à la carte menu instead. Whatever you choose, just post your post on or around Saturday 12 May 2012 and add a link to the list below.
As usual here is a sneak preview of the next two Sepia Saturday archive images - if you like to maintain a sense of surprise just look away now.
There is sure to be plenty of food for thought for you here - I am sure we will, yet again, get a fine spread of posts which will leave us all full of good cheer and well satisfied.

I love the May 26th picture.
Market day, tea, cattle, those must have been wonderful days.
I am running out of sepia photos, so I thought I would feature the restaurant kitchen where my son is doing his apprenticeship for Chef.
Inspired by the royal interior, I have postcards of Queen Mary's Dolls' House.
My old kitchen is right here in Lanzarote, so I’m showing the ‘range’ of kitchens.
With a little bit of creative license, I managed to make this post on theme, kind of, but I think that you guys will enjoy it anyway. Can't wait to read yours !

I decided to combine the kitchen theme with Mother's Day.

Following up on last week’s Doll’s House, you’re invited ‘Below Stairs’ to see what Mrs Bridges is cooking up.
Okay, I did another one ... inspired by our own Little Nell! This one is easy, just pictures.

I live in an area overrun with food snobs. I'd like to say most of them are tourists, but alas the locals are just as bad. Sometimes they get what they deserve, thus my post this week.
Two kitchens and a video bring back memories.
I would love to cook something in that very stylish kitchen! Very inviting!
Moving from kitchen into relations who cooked there, and then into serving with my own hand crafted ceramic butter dish. I love the "flapper outfits" of my Great Aunt and her friend.
My fine food post is up, happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there! :)
A special treat for Mother's Day from me. By chance it does have a royal connection too.
A collage of kitchens I have known.
Unfortunately no sepia pictures; my first kitchen complete with early training! old copper pans from the grandmothers, that's my contribution today.
I'm in a little late but worth the wait I hope! I have a snapshot of my father in law right around the time he and my mother in law married, and he is in his baker's whites!

I'm back after a month's absence and really like the theme for this week. I didn't have family photos related to the theme, but had a great time finding pictures. My post includes the queen of tv cooking shows. A little hint - "Bon Appetit!"
On the road, hope to find time to post and comment within the next two weeks!
Here I am!!
Here I am to take you on a tour,
a tour of my childhood's kitchen,
reminiscing about food, good food and some we're almost embarrassed to admit we did that...
I had fun doing this post and no,
I'm NOT crazy!!
My mind just wanders off one way,
than another...
Come have a taste of it!!
:)~

I'm on theme this week - not a photograph, but a Victorian advertisement :o)
Another of those "mother in her kitchen" shots. Kitchens bring back happy memories for most of us.
Not so much a kitchen as a Kitchener for me.
A quick one this week.
Happy Saturday! Just entered my post for this week - kitchenware from Sears Roebuck 1897. A piece of Americana.
Some Kitchens (of distinction) for you all.
