This month on Sepia Saturday it is all about arrivals and our theme image this week features a 1953 photograph of the great explorer and climber, Sir Edmund Hillary, arriving in Amsterdam. You can follow whichever train of thought you want - just let us have your photographic submissions to explore on or around Saturday 23rd November 2024. And before you set out, take a look at what Sepia Saturday has to offer for the rest of the year.

I couldn't decide which post to use, so I posted 'em both! Happy Thanksgiving. :)
Nice to be back here after a break for fiction writing. (Spoiler alert: it’s harder than non-fiction :-) And Uncle Fred is back, too, with an amusing 1942 story about one of our mutual relatives.
Terrific Sepia photographs. Thanks for hosting the challenge.
This theme almost beat me until I remembered a postcard with a train car in the background. No mountain to climb but musical, of course.
I struggled a bit with this prompt picture of a happy couple arriving at a train station. I had posted earlier this year about trains, happy couples and wedding flowers. So my focus was on discovering my emigrant ancestors who arrived in New York from England in 1856-57.
Some old Thanksgiving parades and others.
I seemed unable to comment by clicking on the button - hence here. A lovely photograph of your parents and I was very struck by the text on the noticeboard - so true.
I knew you would have a wonderful gallery of family photographs for Thanksgiving. As for your second post - yes, yes I chuckled! Thank you.
