Gosh, I get to be first for a change! And I happen to have a very good match for this theme. Short, sweet, and musical of course.

And Alan, I'd like to ask if we could have a return of the previews for the upcoming themes. That extra time really helps in preparing our weekly posts. Thank you for keeping the Sepia Saturday pub open.

A recent "day off" for many workers had two names, Columbus Day or more recently, Indigenous People's Day.

A pretty good match from my own photo album (only a few more people in the picture)

The first time my father met me in 1943.

I would endorse Mike’s request for some earlier notice on the week’s prompt photographic/theme, to help us prepare an appropriate post. I feel this would also encourage more bloggers to participate each week. Please do give it some thought - Thank you.

Greetings from the Past: Postcards showing lumber industry in Galeton, Pennsylvania in the early 20th century. Not matching this week's prompt picture, but perhaps interesting to someone all the same :)
