Sepia Saturday 422 : 9th June 2018

SEPIA SATURDAY 422 : SATURDAY 9 JUNE 2018
ALONE  :  BEACH  :  SPACE

If you want a bit of space, if you want to be alone, if you want to stand out where there is no crowd, you can do worse these days than pop over to Sepia Saturday! And this week you can sit all by yourself on the beach at Bridlington. You can of course be alone wherever you like, or, indeed, lose yourself in a sepia crowd. As always, it is up to you. Just post your post on or around Saturday 9th June 2018 and add a link to the list below.

And here is what lies ahead.

Two quiet beaches - different times, different people

Nice to be back here! Focusing on what appears to be a retiree at the beach, my post examines the final years of my gg grandfather Arthur Bull, a Union Army pensioner.

I think I'm close for this theme, at least with one postcard. It's a medley of violinists.

After this weekend I'm on holiday, but will return for the last theme of June.

My theme - Alone on a Beach, looking back to memories of holidays on the beautiful island of Iona in the Scottish West Highlands. With apologies - I don't know why my first link did not work, as the URL was correct.

I always seem to finally get an idea late on Friday evening even though I've been thinking about it all week!

The beaches in America are just different. We do have built in areas on our beaches but mainly we think of the vast open empty beaches with lots of sand. I didn’t remember much about this photo of my grandparents but its is close to being 70 years old now.
