Books, beards and checks suggest themselves as possible themes for Sepia Saturday 641 - but you might be able to find other possible influences in this week's Sepia Saturday theme image. Whatever theme you choose, or whatever theme of your own you adopt, just post your post on or around Saturday 1st October and add a link to the list below. And take a look at what is around the Sepia corner.

No beards or printed books in my post this week, but I suppose it could be said that I've been doing a great deal of "checking" ;) This week I'm reposting a post I wrote ten years ago about my great-grandmother who ended her life in one of the huge institutions that were seen as the best care for people with mental health issues back in the beginning of the 20th century.
My contribution is simply some old photos from the internet. Not on topic, because I gave a book report earlier in the week!
I have a mustache but no beards in the latest chapter of my Charboneau relatives in Holland Patent in 1950.
I really don't understand how this happens, but Alan has chosen another theme for which I have a near-perfect match. Only partly musical this weekend.
I have my bearded 2x great grandfather, Dock Allen, as my subject for this week.
