Woman Hanging Laundry from Tenement Porch. Manchester, New Hampshire (1936) New York Public Library Digital Collection
Our theme image this week comes from the on-line digital collection of the New York Public Library. What immediately appealed to me about the image was the geometry of it and you may want to provide examples of lines and angles within pictures from your own collections. There again you may want to display your dirty washing in public - as ever the choice is yours. Simply hang your stuff out on or around Saturday the 29th April 2017 and leave a link on the list below. And whilst your washing is drying, have a look at what is further down the line.

Wood for fences, faces, fire and fun is my theme for this week.
With apologies - I don't know why I have had problems with this link - Scotsue 3 is Correct and the link works! Any other problems, you can open the blog at: https:scotsue-familyhistoryfun.blogspot.co.uk
Alan or Marilyn - I would be grateful if you would delete my first two attempts.
Thank You.

I've blogged about washing and washing lines before but still managed to find a few more photos that include a sometimes less than desirable washing line.
Hangin' out wet stuff in all its many forms.
Hanging out in Bali with a stiff neck from too much time on the chaise lounge.
From me this weekend, a medley of shadowy postcard photos. Musical of course.
Would the Americans call this a 'brown out'?
Images from roughing in with tent and canvas and rope lines...and thoughts about drying clothing!
