A brother and sister perhaps? Who they are we do not know (and perhaps I should know because they come from my family photo archives). Their identity doesn't matter. They were together in their youth and hopefully they were together through life. Perhaps there is a photograph somewhere of them as two elderly people - the brother still with a protective arm around the sister. Endless questions - that is the beauty of old photographs.
