Sepia Saturday 608 : Saturday 12 February 2022

First of all my sincere apologies for missing the Sepia Saturday prompt for last week. It is only the second time I have missed it in twelve years, and I wouldn't mind if I had a good excuse - broken leg/computer/life - but alas the real reason was just that my mind was elsewhere, doing nothing in particular. For our prompt image this week I have chosen one of the collection from the Texas State Archives which is featured on their Flickr Commons stream. Other than stamping their mark on the image, they tell us nothing about it: neither date, place nor subject. So this lady in the library represents all those unknown people and places that feature on our sepia contributions. As usual, all you need to do is to share your sepia contribution, on or near Saturday 12th February 2022, and add a link to the list below.

And here, by popular demand, are the next two Sepia Saturday prompt images so you can plan your posts ahead of time:-

A big welcome back, Alan! We were trying to figure out what to do this Saturday!

I'm all about banned books this week. No books should be banned. It's outrageous!

Alas, nothing from me this week. Dealing with technical problems on my blog. Hope to be back soon!

France 1917: Gerda hasn't had any news from Sweden in months, but is not giving up: She keeps sending postcards to her brother in Sweden. And as if it was "meant to be", my research for this post even (sort of) led me to a library...

Happy to find our pub open for business again, Alan. This weekend's image let's me feature a postcard that is musical but without any people. Sort of.

And thanks for returning to the 2-week advance notice on our themes. Some of us have a lot of photos to sort.

Delighted to see the prompts for the next few weeks. This prompt photogrpah was right up my street, so a look back at my love of books and libraries.

Things we might do in a library. So happy to see the prompt up earlier this week and also with two additional future prompts. It makes it so much easier to come up with something really good when we have time to think about what we want to do and search for the appropriate pictures. Thank you so much!!! :)
