Sepia Saturday 506 : 8th February 2020

Whenever there is something new on the scene, people want their photographs taking with them. Be it a car, be it a plane, an airship or a rocketship: people will crowd around to be pictured with it. If the real thing is not available, there is no need to worry: any self-respecting photographic studio will have a cardboard cut-out. This week on Sepia Saturday (post your posts on or around Saturday 8th February 2020) we are celebrating such photographs and asking you to share your own. Post your post and add a link to the list below.

Whilst you are waiting for the cardboard cut-out to move, you might want to consider the next couple of Sepia Saturday theme images.

Can cars play a part in Valentine's Day? Of course they can and I can prove it! :)

My photo is of new corn on a Conklin, N.Y., farm -- and the story of a possible new fifth great-grandfather from that area, who emerged during my recent NYS Archives research.

Fake? Yes. Cars? No. Something different this weekend but still a bit musical.

Just 18 years ago I made cardboard cutouts with themes for taking pictures of people!

Fun theme! I posted a photo of my husband's grandfather in his 1917 Ford, taken by my husband's father in 1917. https://climbingmyfamilytree.blogspot.com/2020/02/sepia-saturday-and-saturday-night-genea.html

Cars? Why not a Vespa instead?
