Sepia Saturday 451 : Saturday 5 January 2019

Big and small, smart and scruffy, light and dark, old and new ... contrasts are all the thing on Sepia Saturday this week. The theme photograph was taken in the early 1960s by Colman Doyle and shows the American model, Linda Ward, posing in Winetavern Street, Dublin. The photograph can be found on the Flickr stream of the National Library of Ireland.

However you decide to follow the theme image, follow it on or around Saturday 5th January 2019 and add a link to the list below. Here are the next two theme images, so you can start thinking about them in advance.

My fashionable mother provided the perfect match for this prompt.

Looking at how wives were attracted to early American settlers...

Oh, those 1960s fashions - coats and otherwise!

The closest I can come to the prompt is "role model" as I finish up my series with a fond farewell to my fourth grade teacher Miss George. After that I am taking a break for a couple of weeks, but expect to be back later in January with new posts. Happy New Year everyone!

I've finally identified a little boy in a photo from 1919. I know you have to be excited about that! LOL

A perfect prompt for photo's of my Grandmother's Fur Coat. Hoping to get back to my Family Tree in 2019 via Sepia Saturday. Thanks to Wendy for the inspiration to do so.

My contribution this weekend is kind of a match I think. Musical of course, and to start the year, it's a BIG story, but one I hope is worth the read.

I've been away for a long time. It's nice to be back and nice to see the place is still here.
