It's enough to make you cry. Well, not actually cry: more cry out. And you can cry out whatever you want here on Sepia Saturday. Cry out by using one of your old photographs and a few new words on or around Saturday 25th March 2023 and add a link to the list below. You've got to laugh, haven't you? Hopefully, somewhere amongst your photographic archives, you will have a picture of somebody laughing, The chances are, that it won't be an early photograph: the Victorians and Edwardians weren't all that keen on laughter, and, anyway, the primitive cameras demanded set features. By the time we get to the 1920s and 1930s, photography had come away from the formal studio and inhibitions had been cast aside. So for Sepia Saturday 664, we are asking you to give us pictures of either people laughing, or possibly, pictures that will make us all laugh. We're down this week. Not down like that, no; we're as happy as a sepia sandboy, it is just that our theme is "down". As always, you can interpret that as you will - or not interpret it at all. So what have you all been up to? The one thing I haven't been up to is getting the Sepia Saturday prompts up on time! My apologies for that, it was due to circumstances beyond my control - a malfunction was discovered just as the plane got to the end of the runway and the pilot had to turn back for repairs. I am glad to say that the malfunction has been corrected and we are back on course again - just a week late! As you will have gathered, this week's theme is UP and we are ready for your submissions on the Link List, the position of which is being pointed out to you by your cabin staff.
