Roll up, roll up for Week 17 of Sepia Saturday. Based on the widespread, major, sophisticated consultation procedure that we carried out last week it would seem that most people prefer to enter their link after they have posted and thereby enter a specific link to the Sepia Saturday post rather than the general blog. Some people however still want to provide an indication that they intent to post, in which case they might like to leave a comment announcing their intention to post and then a link to the specific post. Alternatively they can add a link to their blog whenever they want or alternatively ... they can do whatever they like. Sepia Saturday is that kind of anarchic thing.
My clip from last week's postings had to be this picture from Leah's wonderful post "Leather-Booted Great-Grandpa" which you can find - if you've not already seen it - on her equally wonderful blog "The Weather In The Streets". Week 17 of Sepia Saturday will be on Saturday 27th March 2010 so sign up / comment / do nothing now if you intent to participate. And a word of advanced warning - following an equally thorough consultation process, I have decided to skip a Sepia Saturday over Easter and therefore Sepia Saturday 18 will be on Saturday 10th April.
Well I intend to participate and I proudly announce the fact here.
I will definitely be participating and thank you for posting Great-grandpa Benny's photo; I'm very touched!
Alan, I hope I didn't screw up here. I went ahead and made a separate blog for Sepia Saturday. I think that will cut down confusion for those who check out the posts on later dates and my sepia is buried. Sure I can handle 4 blogs. I am insane!!!!
L D : That is a great idea and it is an approach that at least one other person(Val) already follows. And remember - it is impossible to screw up on Sepia Saturday.
I will be here again....and have been thinking about a separate blog for SS, but right now I am confused enough just trying to piece my geneaology puzzle together....who knows with multiple cyber links to myself what I'd do...
Greetings! This is my new blog to join in the Sepia Saturday. I'm looking forward to sharing my collection, as well as seeing all the other great photos that we cherish of our families and generations past.
I just finished mine, Alan. Will post on the morrow and link then. Cheers!
I think L.D.'s on to something. Maybe a separate blog for Sepia Saturday is a good idea. In any case, mine is posted for this week. It may take me awhile after Saturday to view all of them, but it is truly a highlight of my week. I love Sepia Saturday! Thanks, Alan.
Mine is posted!
Mine is up. I look forward to this each week. Good idea to skip Easter Sunday. Thanks for hosting this.
Just posted mine...I'll make rounds later on...I'm knackered out from work...zzzzzz!
Woohoo! Made it! Thanks, Alan. Happy SS all!
I'm happy you'll be skipping next week. I'll be on a silent retreat, praying that my son does a good job of house-sitting. :)
I vacillated about whether or not I was going to do it this week and then I had a brainstorm. We have guests this weekend, so I'm afraid I may be a bit scarce (what's new, eh?) so I don't expect you to grace my space if I can't make it to yours. Just know it's there if you want to have a look.
May I suggest we postpone the Sepia Saturday posts for everyone over the Easter Weekend? I know Alan will be doing this, but maybe we'd all like to wait until the following week. What do you think?
I've been wanting to participate in this but haven't gotten around to it. I posted an Easter post. Okay, I'm in it, but my 1960 parents are the real stars. I just posted it on my normal blog with a label to Sepia Saturday. Hope that works! Love you, Kat!
I made a sepia post on friendship...have a great weekend! :) The Bach
Your comments are part of the enjoyment of Sepia Saturday. You always say such nice, well thought out things. It makes me want to keep doing it even though it's been completely monopolizing my whole weekends..and Friday nights. I love reading everyone's posts and I love all the comments.I try to read everyone's and make comments, but sometimes it's daunting! Will this someday get too big to be manageable?
I feel like I have a whole new worldwide group of wonderful friends...who I know everything about. Thank you, Alan (and Poetikat.)
I'm back & looking forward to it! Time to fire up the scanner.
Well darn, just when I have time to catch up...then I break the rules!! I did a post for today! I guess it will be the only one! Maybe I could just say that for once I am ahead.
