Sepia Saturday 708 : Saturday 27th January 2024

We finish off our music month here on Sepia Saturday with a bit of opera. Just a bit, or perhaps a few bits: the best bits just like Sepia Saturday brings you the best bits of old photographs. Whether it's an aria or an overture, we invite you to submit your best bits for Sepia Saturday on or around Saturday 27th January 2024 and add a link to the list below. And after that you can have some fun. And after that, you can go to work.

Jumping into the line early....while I've got it all in mind. Enjoy meeting my musically talented Dr. John Fitz Rogers, from the University of South Carolina.

Those wonderful old numbers from the 1890s with lyrics "between the lines". Some were just funny. But some had political meanings disguised as a funny song if you knew what to look for! :)

Barbara, bravo for your early post. I had forgotten about Beverly Sills. That's a fun video of her w/Danny Kay.

The photos of your mother were terrific. Lots of panache.

Memories of holidays in Austria - the home of classical music.

I'm late again for Sepia Sunday now. But I want to tackle a complicated story about the grandest of grand opera. I hope everyone will find it entertaining.
