We are nearing the end of our school days - or at least the end of our month of school day related prompts. This is your final chance to sit quietly and draw a nice picture for teacher - or at least share a nice old photograph with your sepia school-friends. We are still at school here on Sepia Saturday and asking you to share your old photographs that somehow or other might fall within the general theme of "School Days". This week we have a group of school pupils at a Sports Day, but that is merely my interpretation of the theme - you can come up with your own, When you have, post your post on or around Saturday 19th August 2023 and add a link to the list below. Our theme picture this week might not make you immediately think of school days, but it does me. That's my old school in the background and, I suspect, given enough time I could put names to some of the schoolboys stood around watching the high jump and most of the school teachers organising it. Schools and school days are like that, rich seams in the memory mine. Here is your opportunity to evoke old school days for yourself, someone in your family or some unknown person whose image happens to be in your collection.  Simply post your post on or around Saturday 12 August 2023 and add a link to the list below. School Days is a bit of a silly theme for August, because if there is one month when kids are likely not to be spending days in school, it is August. We have never claimed to be logical here on Sepia Saturday, so why start now. So look out your old photos that illustrate the general theme (school days), the weekly theme image (school rooms, flags etc), or no theme at all. All we want is an old photo and some new thoughts. Post your post on or around Saturday 5th August 2023 and add a link to the list below. And once you've done that you can make a start on your homework and plan for the next three weeks of school days.
