Sepia Saturday 361 : 1st April 2017

Sepia Saturday falling on the 1st April (April Fool's Day) was too good an opportunity to miss, so I chose this rather splendid photograph from the collection of the State Library of New South Wales which was taken in the 1940s. It features parts of both Billy and Graham Green, but I will leave it to you to figure out which bit belongs to which brother. Feel free to follow the theme in any way you want, or you can make a fool of me and ignore the theme all together. All you really need to do is to post your post on or around Saturday 1st April and add a link below.

Here is a quick preview of the next couple of theme images:

Sepia Saturday 360 : 25th March 2017

Drilling A Dive Bomber (1943) Alfred T Palmer - Library of Congress
By now you should all know the drill. You look at the prompt image and come up with some esoteric connection to an old image of your own. You put together a post which features the image and says a few words about it and post it to your blog (in this case, on or around Saturday 25th March 2017). Then you link that blogpost to the Linky List below. Could anything be simpler?

It is so simple that you will have ample time to think about the two themes that are waiting around the corner for your entertainment over the next couple of weeks.

That's the drill. Now there is nothing to stop you now producing a riveting Sepia Saturday post.

Sepia Saturday 359 : Saturday 18th March 2017

Look in a mirror and who knows what you will see. If you are lucky you might see the late, great Louis Armstrong. And if that is not enough of a theme prompt, look more carefully and you might see "trees of green, red roses too, you might see them bloom, for me and you". Whatever theme you decide to go with, go with it on or about Saturday 18th March 2017 and then add a link to the list below.

But before you do, here is a quick reminder of what lies ahead on Sepia Saturday.

Let us return to Louis Armstrong to sign us off this week -

There's sepia in the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
There's sepia in the faces of people going by
I see friends posting posts for all to view
It's what all Sepians love to do.

Sepia Saturday 358 : 11 March 2017

You know what it's like - it's late at night, you're tired, you've had a long day and you just want top settle down and listen to the radio. And then you remember and the memory sends cold spasms of guilt and fear down your spine. You jump up and your partner looks at you, know that there is something terribly wrong but hardly daring to ask. Eventually she says, "Why, what on earth is the matter dear?" and you dread having to confess that which you must confess. And at last those words come out, the words you had hoped you would never have to say. "I have forgotten to put up the Sepia Saturday prompt!!!"

So apologies for it being late, but by now you must know what to do. Post your post on or around the 11th of March and add a link to the list below. And take a look at the themes I will no doubt forget to post for the rest of the month.
