Sepia Saturday 526 : 27 June 2020

I can't deny it, I would like nothing better than to sit down in the garden with a cup of tea, especially if I were sharing the table with these three ladies. But, alas, no: it is almost midnight, it's dark outside, and these three ladies are merely the faded image of days long gone. With old photographs, however, we can be anywhere, whenever we want to be. Air travel may not be available to us in these difficult times, but don't worry: there is plenty of room on the Sepia Space Shuttle.  You can go anywhere and glamorous sepia cabin crew will serve you with cups of tea throughout the journey. To join the flight, all you need is an old photograph posted on or around Saturday 27th June 2020. Once you have your image and your post, simply add your boarding pass details to the list below.

For in-flight entertainment, take a look at what future flights of fancy are available.

There are many options here. Shall I count the ways?

The rustic wood table is typical of the Adirondack wood products that attracted the founder of Dolgeville, N.Y. -- the adult hometown of my dad's Uncle Albert, who died in the 1918 influenza pandemic.

The girls in the prompt could have been friends with the girls in my photo

Look seriously at what women wore in the 1920s.

No tea cups and I've run out of trios of women. Instead I have a string quartet for your entertainment.

I found a selection of family picnics over the years. Enjoyed the search.
