Our Sepia Saturday theme image this week comes from the collection of the Preus Museum which is the National Museum of Photography in Norway. It is a photograph by Elisabeth Meyer entitled "Stewardess Hugging A Puppy" and forms part of the Preus Museum stream on Flickr Commons (you will recall that we are working the way through some of the Flickr Commons participating archives at the moment). It appears that the photograph was taken in Alaska and it dates from sometime in the 1950s. All sort of themes come to mind - dogs, cute animals, air crew, hugs: as usual it is up to you to interpret the theme in any way you want to. Simply post a post on or around Saturday 14th March 2015 and add a link to the list below.
Before you go all weak at the knees with that lovable bundle of fluff, take a look at what is around the sepia corner.
271 : Horses / Rivers / Drinking
272 : Tractors / Agriculture / Wheels
But now let the bleating, the purring, the whimpering begin. It is time to give your best friend a sepia hug.

Well that makes a change. Quick of the mark with a short tail - er I mean tale.
What do you do when you don't have a dog & no one amongst family or friends is a flight attendant? Why, you look a little closer at the prompt picture - that's what you do! :)
Where are you going, Dad? A few photos of 'related dogs this week.
Furry cuddles and happy family memories.
Finally a topic upon which I have something to share, from when I was a "professional Flight Attendant."
I hope there are more juicy stewardess stories.
Puppies and hugs -- no flight attendants though, sorry Helen.
Puppy wonders...
Dogs are a pet topic for me.
Do dogs or flight stewardesses from me this weekend.
Instead it's Off to Alaska!
Toodles poses with the family 1926 & 1928.
Thanks very much for the inspiration image. You've hit upon my favourite subject: dogs. The title of my post is: A furry, hairy mirror: 'A dog reflects the family".
A perfect category!
Dogs for friends, Cats for us.
Not a dog and not a stewardess - but Auntie Miriam with a donkey
Just scanned these old slides yesterday as luck would have it.
Whew - managed to sneak in a quick post despite intermittent connectivity and slooow page refreshes. I have been a "cat person" my whole life but am surrounded by "dog people" on both sides of the family and, for that matter, by dogs.
It's hard to believe me, the great dog lover wrote about ghosts instead of pups. But I promised Part Two so ghosts it is!
