195. Today will be International Day of Peace. Sepians can do their bit by highlighting it in their blogs. Activities around the world will include; ceremonies, prayers, choirs, tree planting, art exhibitions, lighting candles, peace walks. Your response could be one of these from the past, historical or personal.
196. This 1935 Insurance ad has plenty of possibilities to theme; the large bed , small boy, quilt, doctor's bag, toys. Take your pick.

Sorry to be a bit off topic this week. I even missed the anniversary of the storm that I was commemorating. I'm anxiously awaiting everyone else's posts.
This week I have some advertising tradecards instead of postcards.
A photograph of my mother sewing a hem while my father pursues his cinema studies in Los Angeles, 1944.
My wife features this week, but I'm not meant to advertise the fact.
I went with the same type of hairdo that the lady who is sewing has. It is an interesting story of one of the first 10 woman lawyers in Canada who just happens to come from my hometown!!
There's a crochet piece in my nook; serves as a shield between something new and something new.

Tried to find one of sewing or flags - no success, so have gone with a dress and a hair do - on the Dutch side!
No flags, no sewing, but the subject of my photo is concentrating on her book - like the flag sewer, she is not looking at the camera:-)

I;m still learning things about my own Australian flag.
I can't offer sewing, but I can offer flags.
Initially it was going to be about fabric but then diverged to be about a hanky.
Being from Ballarat I had to talk about the Eureka flag - said to be the most significant European textile in Australia. Doesn't directly connect with my family but was of significance to those mining for gold in Victoria at the time which certainly included our family's forebears.
How about Sew Much Fabric, Sew Little Time?
I am back. I really miss blogging on here and will try harder.
No women sewing, but a post about a woman who sewed.
