I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date ..... The reason why the Sepia Saturday prompt is late up this week is not because I forgot, nor is it because Blogger has been messing with the settings: it is because I stopped off for some provisions at the Eagle Fruit Store, and the very act of shopping during these difficult times left me so exhausted that I had to book in for a restful night at the Capital Hotel in Lincoln Nebraska. Now, fully refreshed, I am ready to receive your submissions for this week's Sepia Saturday. No face coverings required, the only social distancing is by time. Post your posts on or around Saturday 1st August 2020, and add a link to the list below. And, once again, my thanks to Barbara for arranging a call to my hotel room to wake me up.
Now that I am on my way again, I am due to catch a tram to next week's Sepia Saturday location, but whilst I am waiting for the tram to arrive, I will go in search for a second prompt image.
Standing on the corner (watching all the girls go by.) :)
ReplyDeleteI focused on the grocery store in the photo.
ReplyDeleteLittle bit about a grocer in the semi-family.
ReplyDeleteFor today I'm looking at ome nearby hemlocks or fir trees which are suffering from a little bug...and an old hotel building.
ReplyDeleteI've put together a few postcards that sort-of fit the street view theme. Musical of course.
ReplyDeleteI like the creativity in everyone's interpretations. I went with fruit and then vintage seed packages.
ReplyDeleteAfter a challenging week resolving tech issues, I am re-posting last week's blog "Uncle Albert joins the Masons and Odd Fellows." Hopefully, it behaves as it should this week
ReplyDeleteand accepts comments!
My post this week is about two streets that are important in the lives of many of my ancestors and family members. One in New York and one in Chicago. Enjoy!
