For our second week of walking about on Sepia Saturday, our theme image looks at people walking on the street - more specifically on Westmorland Street, Dublin in 1902. Many of you will have similar "walking snaps" in your collection and this week you have an opportunity to get them out and share them with other enthusiasts. Or, there again, you can simply share any old photograph you would like to share. Whatever you choose, post your posts on or around Saturday 11th November 2023 and add a link to the list below. And pause for a moment to look in a shop window - or look at what Sepia Saturday has to offer for the rest of the month.
Not Selfies but Walkies - memories of seaside photographers plying their trade along the promenades.
ReplyDeleteI've used up all my best street photos, so I've put together a set of photos in honor of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day. Musical of course.
ReplyDeleteJust some of my family's old photos. We did tend to take photos of a line of people posed, mostly. So being in a casual candid condition was rare.
ReplyDeleteMy contribution this week is some photos of the two dogs my grandparents had during my childhood/youth. No street photos, but a bit of walking about in the countryside... ;)
ReplyDeleteTo Gail - La Nightingail - just love the paintings you have given us- the street scenes, the gardens, the children and above all the costumes. Perhaps looking at life through rose coloured spectacles , but lovely to see. Scotsue.
ReplyDeleteMonica - What a lovely find! We know from our own dogs what wonderful companions they can be . The photographs of your grandparents with their pets so much echoed this.
