A Happy New Year to Sepians everywhere. First of all let me thank you for supporting Sepia Saturday for the last eleven years, and for your thoughts and suggestions about the future of Sepia Saturday. Clearly members want Sepia Saturday to continue as a Blog-based platform for sharing old photographs, and so it will. I will continue working my way through the Sepia alphabet - which should take us to the beginning of March - and I would welcome suggestions for our weekly calls after that. We can continue with optional themes, drop themes altogether or adopt some other approach - let me know what you think.
To take us into 2021 we have the letter T. You can interpret this as you like, for our theme image I have chosen a Birmingham tram from the 1920s. All you have to do is to feature an old photo in a blog post, post the post on or around Saturday 9th January 2021, and add a link to the list below.
And here are some more sepia letters for the coming few weeks:-
Hoorah! We're back :) Thanks Alan. Here's my post about Ted, TAA, typhoid, Tunbridge Wells and Tom.
ReplyDeleteYes we are back - and long may we post.
ReplyDeleteHey there...I am back! I am on T for telegrams.
ReplyDeleteThere is a train but story goes off track a bit. Thanks for sticking with it Alan!
ReplyDeleteHoorah for SS continuing! You know I've got a sepia photo...but of course it's not on topic. Great to see everyone who posts...I'll be over to read them all soon!
ReplyDeleteHello, and Happy New Year, Sepia Saturday people! I am happy to join this very fun blog as an actual blogger, after a long time following it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad we're back in business! I was beginning to go a little stir crazy waiting. Today, I focus on the background of this week's prompt.
ReplyDeleteAlan’s and Mary Alice’s links just take me to my Blogger dashboard.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy - I see that I copied the wrong link. Will get to work on that.
ReplyDeleteMea Culpa - Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteI've run out of trolleys and trams so I'm picking out "T is for Tuba" as a theme to start the new year. It's not the story I expected to write, but events this week have pushed me to into telling a dark forgotten history of injustice.
ReplyDeleteStarting my New Year off right, hoping to do a little more writing this year. Although it took me a whole day to organise this post. I had no idea that there had been a battery-operated tram in Vitoria Australia. It wasn't very successful a few flaws in its design but could have been groundbreaking if they had got it right and no overhead wires.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alan! You are greatly appreciated! I'm late, but finishing my series on Jesse Bryan and influenza.
