I may have been away for a week or two, but if there is anything guaranteed to get me on the first plane back to Yorkshire, and the first plane back to Sepia Saturday, it is the sight of a group of chaps sat around with bottles of ale. Our theme image comes courtesy of a glass plate negative dating from the last decade of the nineteenth century, which forms part of the Flickr Commons collection of the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, Australia. Of course you don't have to follow the beer prompt, there are many other potential themes bottled up within this fine old photograph. All you have to do is to post a post featuring an old photograph on or around Saturday 25th November 2017 and then link it to the list below. Cheers!
Here is a preview of our next couple of theme images.
Rebels of all sorts on Thanksgiving! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still stuck in 1895, but I've got a perfect match I think with a great story hidden inside a photo.
ReplyDeleteAlas, I'm off theme again...but I wanted to be sure to wish all of you a Happy Holiday with one last post here before I take December off for a blogging recharge. Thanks for welcoming me to Sepia Saturday, and see you in January.
ReplyDeleteSome domes, a college, a church, and honoring a talented scientist, Buckminster Fuller.
ReplyDeleteIt’s the birthday of a Sepia Saturday star today.
