I'm in a bit of a rush this week as I forgot to put the call post up whilst we were away and now it is Thursday and Sepia Saturday is just around the corner. I blame too many nights away from home drinking old beer in even older hotels. The hotel in our theme image is never around the corner (or always around the corner) depending on how you look at things. It is an old postcard of the Chittenden Hotel in Columbus Ohio and put me in mind of postcards, hotels, buildings and - of course - corners. Whatever it puts you in mind of, just post your post on or around Saturday 27th June 2015 and add a link to the list below.
Before you book into the Sepia Saturday Hotel, take a look at what --- is around the corner.
Fish, pigs and students - who else other than Sepia Saturday gives you variety like this? So book into the Sepia Saturday Hotel now.
I dinna really mean to be so early with my post -- but published it rather accidentally. O well, it is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of postcards but none of hotels or corners! I hope this second sent by Charlie to Maudie will fit the bill.
ReplyDeleteTwo generations of hotel memories.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to read almost to the end of my contribution before you find any visual connections with this theme.
ReplyDeleteIs the Sepia Saturday Hotel anything like the Exotic Marigold Hotels?

ReplyDeleteWas planning to publish this tomorrow, but thought I'd better do it while I had a minute to do so...sorry no post cards, but a selfie (not at all a vintage one, please!)
ReplyDeleteThe item I was waiting for couldn't be found and in fact is missing, so I won't delay any longer. Just some anecdotes on a couple of grand hotels from me this week.
ReplyDeletePostcards used as evidence in a divorce case - things get ugly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration image! My post, which will appear on Saturday, is entitled Within these walls: 'School Days'. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteDifferent buildings play different parts in our lives for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteI;m blocks away on another theme this weekend. An unusual musical photo to contrast with my story from last weekend.
ReplyDeleteThree buildings and two memories.
ReplyDeleteNot anywhere near the theme, but I could use some help.
ReplyDeleteRemembering my grandmother on her birthday with a prompt that made me think of her straight away when we visited her in Adelaide.

ReplyDeleteBetter late than never. I should have looked at my clock more closely.
ReplyDeleteIt's still the weekend here so I'm not too late with this post:) Now for the pleasure of reading all the other posts.
ReplyDeleteHey, I am back. I had material that put in line to follow a theme, sort of. I have been visiting the site but not making the deadline soon enough. I have one in draft that was suppose to go up three weeks ago. I may just rework it and go with it for next week.
