Sepia Saturday 320 : 5 March 2016

A public fountain in Queretaro, Mexico. Wheelbarrows that look like a left-over prop from the Flintstones carrying pottery jars that would not be out of place on an archaeological dig. And let us not forget the hats that look a little like traffic cones. There are a number of potential themes you might want to highlight in this week's Sepia Saturday theme image (which comes from the Flickr stream of Cornell University). All you need to do is to post an old image and some new thoughts on or around Saturday 5th March 2016 and then add a link to the list below.

Whilst you are waiting for your jar to fill with water, take a look at what is around the corner on Sepia Saturday. And don't forget, you can find all our theme images for the first half of the year by checking out the featured posts in the Blog sidebar.

Now it is time for a drink of cool, clear water and time to put our Sepia Saturday posts together. Cheers.

Mexico has a huge influence on those of us in California living near the border.

Our water has to come from somewhere - so where? And what do we do with it after we get it?

I must share about pottery from those jugs...and give 2 videos of making primitive pottery, almost a lost art.

I've got nothing for this theme except hats.

Thanks for the inspiration image. Since March is Women's History Month, I'm stretching the theme a bit for my contribution, and bringing the water from that fountain to a fantasy tea party with my grannies and great-grannies. Cheers!

I couldn't resist the prompt this Saturday - it reminds me so much of our home.

No water in my post - unless you count Holy Water - it’s a birthday tribute to a dear great-aunt.
