Sepia Saturday 71 : 23 April 2011

Easter Bunny 1960 : Rice Collection, University of Virginia
What more can I say? It is a Sepia Easter Saturday this weekend and therefore for the "themers" amongst us there is a potential Easter parade of rabbits, bonnets, and eggs. For those not wanting to follow a theme, that's fine, just post an old image and tell us about it. Whether you are a "themer" or a "memer" or have just called by to say hello - a very Happy Easter to you all.
SEPIA SATURDAY is a weekly meme which encourages bloggers to publish and share old images and photographs. All that is required is for contributors to post an old image (it doesn't have to be in sepia) and provide a few words in explanation. If you could provide a link back to the Sepia Saturday Blog and visit as many of the other contributors as you can, it would also be appreciated. There is no weekly theme, as such, but some people like to use the archive image published with the weekly call as a kind of theme. There is no requirement to adopt such an approach : the choice of image is entirely up to you. Once you have published your Sepia Saturday post, add a link to that post to the Linky List published each week and leave a comment to let everyone know you are joining in.

Bonnets here, no bunnies ...

No bunnies, no bonnets. More of the Kallman family from the George Kallman estate.

And I'm introducing you to what I do for a living, design books.

This weekend I am featuring my very own little Easter Bunny.

The only connection is that maybe my relatives were going on an Easter parade.....

No bunnies found in my archive - but as the weather is great for the Easter then let's walk, keep smiling

That bunny looks a bit sinister. As I already posted my easter selection last weekend, here is another one from my vintage Picturegoer magazine collection. Happy Sepia Saturday and Happy Easter.

Happy Easter! I posted a photo of Cary's first Easter and lots of cool pics of Long Beach/Huntington Beach in Southern CA in the 1930's and on ... some cool old cars and oil derricks. Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!

Mine is undoubtedly not a bunny but as with the photo above, the inherent peculiarity, not to say impenetrability, of the scene would puzzle the most astute Martian.

I found a great photo of a little girl in what could be classed as an Easter Bonnet, vintage 1920s, but oddly she hasn't got on anything else. ???

A big white wabbit and some chocolatey thoughts from me. Happy Easter!

I found rabbits and eggs; sadly not in sepia, and relatively recent.

Found some sepia at my old standby - flickr - the commons. Found out I was following the theme only after I posted. Happy Sepia Easter!

Thought I left a comment, but maybe I didn't hit the right button. Almost skipped this week, but I made it. What a big white Rabbit. Reminds me of Harvey, any one else familiar with him?

There's only a hint of a rabbit in mine.

I couldn't find an Easter connection so picked a photo from Great Granny's album at random. Granny and boys up a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G :-)

Sorry, I have the wrong post address in the first "Mr. Linky", in case anyone is reading this. The Sepia Saturday one is #25. I wish there was a way to correct mistakes. Or is there? Barbara
